Work experience post: Claire
I’m Claire and I’ve spent the past few days on work experience at IJP. I’m 21 and about to graduate with a university degree in Film Production. I have lots of experience from a wide range of university projects, however I feel that University can only give you a certain level of experience and work experience is definitely a must to give you an insight into what actually happens in the industry and to learn even more about the career you wish to go into.
My time at Inside Job Productions has been brief but despite that, I feel I’ve learnt a lot of things and been able to work on a variety of different tasks, including research, subtitling and editing. Ann, Tallulah and Natalie have been very welcome and accommodating, giving me guidance and feedback when I needed it.
I’ve really enjoyed the variety of work I’ve been given and I’ve learnt a lot more about the work that goes on at a social enterprise and at a filmmaking business. I’ve had a great experience and I feel that it will really help inform future career choices I might make. Thank you so much to the team for having me, I’ve had a great time!
