Hello!
I’m Lydia and I’m the new Production Trainee at Inside Job Productions. I applied for this job as part of their scheme to provide employment and training for young people with mental health struggles, in partnership with Creative Access. My background is in languages and culture, alongside film and TV production. I studied French and Film and TV (BA) at UEA in Norwich with a year abroad working in France, followed by a gap year in Spain.

I’m extremely excited to be welcomed to the team here at IJP and to get involved in production projects at a more expert level. This opportunity means a lot to me as someone who struggles daily with their mental health, combining my passion for film production and also my desire to help others, as a mental health advocate. I often feel overwhelmed and overpowered in my life and find it difficult to allow myself to thrive and prosper. So I find that setting myself goals and surrounding myself with things that motivate and inspire me really help to overcome my self-doubt.
I’m positive that working here will encourage me to do this and will allow me to reach out to others who experience the same insecurities. Not only this, it will enable me to grow both on a personal and professional level, alongside like-minded people in a supportive, creative environment.
