Businesses and companies are using film more and more in their marketing and communications. But if you’re not, 2023 is a great time to start.
Here are five ways you can use films for your business this year.
Create a brand video
Brand videos tend to be used to help win new business, or encourage partners and stakeholders to reinvest. They showcase everything that is great about your organisation, and the results you get. By articulating your brand, what you do, and why you’re great at it you can strengthen your position in the market and build pipeline growth. Don’t shy away from bragging here – it’s your chance to shine!
Social media
Videos and reels get much higher engagement on social platforms than static posts, and we know from the rise of platforms such as TikTok that the appetite is there for video social posts. Films that have the feel of being user generated content such as behind the scenes at the office, or a day in the life work really well here. Whether it’s organic or paid social activity, film content is great.
Internal communication
Many of our clients use films for internal communication. Recognising that everyone consumes content in different ways, it is often accompanied with text explaining the key points. You can share important information, welcome new team members, and keep your employees up to date with the latest policies and procedures.
Customer testimonials
Social proof (the act of hearing points of view from peers) goes a long way to convincing people to make a decision. Ask some of your biggest and best clients to explain why they love working with you and what’s so great about your company, and use them in your social media, newsletters and marketing tools.
Recruitment films
You want to attract the best talent to your company. And to do that you need to show them you’re the best opportunity out there for them. You need them as much as they need you. So use film to showcase your employee value proposition and what makes your business the best place to work. You can show your location, speak to other team members, show off benefits, all sorts, to really capture a feel of what it’s like to work for you.
Product services
Have you ever felt that explaining a new product or services offering is just a bit confusing? Show don’t tell! Use video to accurately convey what your product or service offers and the impact it has on the people engaging with it and using it. Explainer videos can seem a bit dull but if you really get across the results you can create a compelling proposition.
Training videos
A great way to get concepts across to people is through educational training videos. This isn’t just those dry mandatory cyber security ones you click next every slide on though. Jazz them up by weaving in the important facts with high energy stories and exercises to keep people engaged.
If one of these types of videos has whet your appetite, you know where to come!
