My year at IJP by Tallulah
Hello there!
My name is Tallulah, I’m 18 years old and since September, I have been working at IJP as the Production Trainee, on their scheme in partnership with Young Minds.
The new scheme provides training, industry experience and paid employment to Young Minds service users.
When I joined IJP, I’d just finished college in Norwich, my hometown. I studied a BTEC in Creative Media Productions and achieved triple distinction*. However, most of my film-making experience and learning took place outside of college, in my work as a member of the British Film Institute’s academy alumni and my own personal projects. I’ve shot and edited my own documentaries, short films and music videos.
Alongside film, I’m really passionate about mental health – challenging stigmas and encourage conversation. Recently, I’ve been using the medium of film to campaign and create awareness around these issues.
I look forward to seeing what the next 6 months holds!
